Creating offers and orders

One way that can help you increase sales is to add all the products your customer may need to your offerings. Dynamics 365 Sales also lets you create product bundles or product families to help you select products for extended selling or bundling. It facilitates the creation of offers and orders.

In most cases, the sale starts with a price offer, which can become an order.

After the customer accepts the offer, Dynamics 365 Sales lets you create the order. Otherwise, you can close the revised, canceled or lost offers.

Creating and editing orders

When a customer is ready to place an order for products or services, open orders for them. In Dynamics 365 Sales, an order can be created by a customer accepting an offer. Or an order can be placed without an approved offer, depending on the situation.

Typically, an order is created by converting an used offer. The starting point is an active offer.

Create and edit invoices

When a customer places an order, you can create an invoice to bill them for upcoming sales.

Usually orders are converted to invoice; you can also create invoices that are not based on orders.
